| Anyone have any good loads worked up for a fal, dsa stg-58 21in brl. just for taking to the range. |
|
IMHO..........for a starter.........just use load data that will mimic an M80 load. Of course, starting low and working your way up.
Aloha, Mark PS.............. For regular military loads. Generally........... WC 844 is used in 5.56x45 NATO WC 846 is used in 7.62x51 NATO WC844(H335) and WC846(BLC2) *Not a direct replacement. Start low and work your way up. ________________________________________________________________ www.hodgdon.com/smokeless/rifle.php H335™ originated as a military powder, used for the 5.56 NATO, or 223 Remington as handloaders know it. Obviously, it sees endless use in the 222 Remington, 223 Remington and other small cartridges. In particular, prairie dog shooters will find this a favorite, as J.B. Hodgdon has for years! Available in 1 lb. & 8 lb. containers. BL-C(2)™ is a spherical powder that began as a military powder used in the 7.62 NATO, commonly known as the 308 Winchester. When it was first introduced to the handloader, benchrest shooters and other target shooters made it an instant success. BL-C(2) works extremely well in the 223 Remington, 17 Remington, 22 PPC and of course, the 308 Winchester, plus many more. Available in 1 lb. & 8 lb. containers. _________________________________________________________________ Checkout the chart in one of the posts........ www.warrifles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51236 ____________________________ And more military powder loads……… www.fortliberty.org/military-library/ballistics-chart.shtml ____________________________ Duplicate Military Loads w/ Commercial Powder www.frfrogspad.com/miscellq.htm#duplicate BEWARE Most manuals will offer you a variety of powder choices and charge weights for different bullets styles/weights. Not to mention, that bolt guns are different from gas guns. Some manuals will specify. Some won't. FWIW........most re-loaders will not just "pick one" from a book and expect, "the best results." They work up their loads, for their rifle......cause "YMWV." Please carefully check what is said on an internet forum page......against published manuals.......you never KNOW when someone is gonna #&%$ with you. Especially, with LOAD DATA. _____________________________________ Remember, like most everything......YOUR MILEAGE WILL VARY. There are many other products, loads, and ways to skin a cat......this was only my advice. Which you got for FREE. _____________________________________ Aloha, Mark |
