Does that exist? Think something like this - > HERE
Except IR and a decent throw. 2-300ft?

I'm building a 'technical' truck. 4x4, IR lead lamps and kill switch for brake lights. Want something like this for a moonless night!

having tried driving with my pvs 14 a bright IR is really going to over power the NVG's i was bettr off using my torch off angle and driving using the spill rather than the direct light. made rocks and holes easier to see.

I have the Golights installed on my hummer. They are wireless R/C, and they are awesome.

I usually drive with Thermal though:

The Torch is more light than you'll need.  Tape it to the top of the GoLight and now it's remote control.

Awesome!

The spot light would be more for parking and stationary shooting. For driving, I'm thinking once I get IR head lamps on the beater it should be plenty.

Maybe I'll rig something up and add some 1913 rails to the remote search light. Sounds like a fun project.

Pretty much what stutz said.

Just buy a drop in LED module for a P60 style light.

Filters do not work well. That is an IR LED on a SolarForce Light.

the unit in the OP will give you a decent throw, but it will not be very good range wise, I would expect 50-100 meters tops, if you want range then look for laser illuminators, or surefire type ones, not with these plastic crapy LED's they aren't good, unless they are 10mm LEDs I would not bother getting them, 5mm LED's are a waste

With my first experience hog hunting down south we had no moon out and trouble seeing in the big openings. I'm using an OTAL. We also had an ATPIAL. I was just hoping for a wider light throw. I do need an illuminator though. Considering m600 with km2 head.

Way overkill but you get the idea.

ETA: one of these units on the handlebars would have been plenty & you can "aim" the beam that way. $10 idea!
