I have 40 cal that I light loaded by accident. They fire safety but some don't eject correctly. They 180 grain that I loaded at 4.6 grain bullseye instead of 5.5 . So I'm thinking of pulling them. 500 of them    Can I reuse the casings without resizing them.  If not how to resize without pushing primers out.    I'm use a Dillon xl650.

Remove the decapping pin from the die.  Eazy!

The brass has been expanded from the previous loading.  You should resize the cases to ensure
proper neck tension.

resize them, won't hurt the brass none and the mouth needs to be flared to seat the bullet any way, which means it'll have to be taper crimped afterwards

No need to resize.

As mentioned above, you'll need to bell the case again to seat a new bullet.

The FOTAY is one of the rounds that is so prone to bullet set back! Size expand and powder charge seat then crimp

You definitely want to resize. As was mentioned earlier, just remove the decapping stem from your sizing die and go to it.

That's too many
I'd shoot em and deal with the operational problems  as they arise.

I agree with this. That is quite a few to pull, I would just use them up for practice when you can take your time with them and deal with malfunctions as they occur.

Then load them correctly next time.

will a collet puller work on the bullet?

They speed things up nicely.

Plier style pullers also work well if their is a straight part of the bullet to grab.
grip-n-pull

If the only alternative is an impact style puller I would shoot them.
