I have an infatuation with the Rhodesian Fal’s, but I am quickly realizing that I may have developed it too late in the game. I cannot find anything anywhere in regard to parts kits. The ones I do find do not have the baby poop camo that make the rifle what it is. I have had some people tell me to just get a DSA and have it painted, but I’m looking for something to put in my collection that has a legitimate background and story to it. I have been directed to FalFiles to look, but it seems that the site is down with no eta for new members. Anyone have any suggestions for me or a good place to look and keep an eye open? I do not yet own a Fal, but I am growing more and more fond the more I read and research. The Rhodesian Fal’s and the background really pique my interest. |

Quoted: I feel your pain. Im looking for a 19 year old maid who looks likes a supermodel and my wife lets me sleep with her weekly after she cleans my house. I somehow thinks that my dream will come true before yours will. Good luck though! Hahaha confidence inspiring! |

I would suggest reaching out to Mark at Arizona response systems. He is the Yoda of all things FAL. He has built 5 of mine and does a great copy of the Rhody, and he might even be able to find you a kit out there. That and watch Gunbroker daily. They pop up on occasion, very rare but you still see them everyone once in a while but they are never cheap. Im not a fan of DSA guns, Ive had a few and they are problematic to say the least. But I guess Im spoiled since Ive got Fals and L1a1s built off kits by Mark. |

Quoted: Some more inspiration! https://i.imgur.com/2AN5OZg.jpg" target="_blank">https://i.imgur.com/2AN5OZg.jpg Amazing collection! Do you build your own, or do you send them to Arizona Response? I got so deep into AR’s that I am about flooded with them. I decided I needed to expand. Now let me know when you want to get rid of that ugly Rhodie! Yes, this has been on there for some time. It has Zimbabwe markings and no baby poop. That’s a no go for me. |

Quoted: Mark has built all my guns sans a couple I bought from other collectors. And the mistakes Ive made purchasing DS arms guns. That Rhodie is a clone that he did as well. The man can make those guns look downright perfect. Rhodie parts kit, or did he do the RA engravings as well? |

Quoted: I know of 2 Rhodie kits that have been sitting in storage for 20 years or so that will possibly come on the market soon, Possibly on GB. (These are not mine btw) Expect to pony up $1500 and up for an actual build worthy Rhodesian kit these days though. Ya, the hay days has come and gone for some of that stuff. Everything is fetching a premium. I’ll keep an eye out, or send them my way! Thanks. |

Attached File Attached File My tributes to Rhodesia. The stock on the full-length rifle is the only "real" Rhodie part on these builds. It has original paint remaining, so I elected to not add paint to the stock. |

Quoted: Don't know about here but there was a member on the FALfiles that sold Rhodie paint kits. I can't remember who though. Quoted: Quoted: Wasn't there a member here that had paint kits at one time? Don't know about here but there was a member on the FALfiles that sold Rhodie paint kits. I can't remember who though. I'm pretty sure it was @saigamanTX on both forums. Apologies if I'm mistaken. |

By pure luck after starting this thread I messaged a member for advice who I had seen post pictures of his Rhodie. He responded back and let me know he would sell the complete rifle. Original RA marked kit minus barrel, R1 receiver, and a few minor items. Tons of original paint. I am pretty excited about it! Attached File |

AZ Response Systems (Mark Graham, "Gunplumber" has Dunn Edwards paint codes on his website. DE changed the formulation from what Mark lists, but the end result is even better. I've used the original Dupont Centauri (?) paint in the past, and the DE paint holds up much better while still providing color and luster fidelity. |
