In this day and age there are very few role models for Americas young people. I just finished watching my recording of the NHRA race at Sonoma, Cali and saw an amazing feat pulled off by Antron Brown. He won the Western swing. He has come along way in drag racing and gets my vote for good role models.
What say ya'all ARFcom? ETA. Sorry mods please move to general discussion my bad for not looking on what board I was on.Thanks. |

"I don't mean to offend you but, what is there really to model off someone who drove a car fast?"
You should listen to him speak and learn a bit about him. He is a modest hard working man who accomplished a feat that is extremely difficult in his sport. I would have no problem with any youngster looking up to him. |

I'm not familiar with the guy, but the context of the original post related to the driver's come from behind wins, rather than specifics about his character, certainly made it seem like that was the reason for his being a role model... Perhaps as procedure before this thread descends into further threadfail status, a reason for role model status should accompany the naming of the individual. Carry on, sirs. |
