HI Team, at work right now on my lunch break, so I don't have pictures at this moment, but I bought a used AR that had a dedicated 22LR upper and about every 3rd round or so would FTE or would eject the wrong direction and then get jammed between the bolt and the breech.

Off the top of your head, would anyone have any ideas?

I will take some pictures when I get home tonight.

Check the archives, especially the Spike's forum and archives.

There were threads about the extractor needing to be reshaped to get a better grab on the rim, and advice about running it dryer than usual to keep the bolt assembly from gooping up and getting sticky.

Anyway, that's where a couple hundred pages of .22 lore is hiding.

Don't forget to give it a darn good cleaning. Do the power brush thing on the chamber (per the sticky) and use good ammo, NOT Remington Gold bullet.

Check the right side feed lip of the mag.  It may be too high.  This would cause the empty case to hit the feed lip before hitting the ejector, causing the case to jump up and jam.

Thanks!

I am planning on it. Just have not had a chance to do it yet.

I've seen this happen on a couple of my BDM mags, quick and easy fix but BDM stands behind their product.  If you have more than one mag check for function with each mag.  May be one or all of the mags.  Good luck let us know if you get it fixed.
