Hi,   new to the shotgun side of this,

anyways I just picked up a really nice Ruger Red label  750 out the door,   the problem that I found with it is it has a few pitted spots in one of the barrels,  anyone know a fix for this?

Shotguns are self cleaning. Aren't they? All kidding aside how bad are they? If they are not too bad I would try an oversize bore brush and try shooting a couple of hundred rounds through it. For those Rugers I would try light target loads first. Max dram stuff is pretty snappy for those guns. I am recoil sensitive, after a couple of hundred rounds I will start to pick my head up off the stock and loose some targets, you may not be so good luck with it. Those Red Labels are great guns and shoot forever. My .02

Perhaps I don't understand, but do you mean physical pits in the metal?  If so, there's really not gonna be much you can do about it.  Are they rust pitting?  Any indication of the cause?  Do keep in mind Ruger's lifetime warranty, if it's a problem with the barrels themselves, not just neglect, they might do something for you.  I'd write 'em and find out.

That's a sweet deal though, I'd buy one of those for that price pitting or not!

Happy Shooting!
