SAS suppressors. anybody have one or used one yet. (Specifically in .308 cal.) & (Bolt-Gun) but will take anything I can get as far as info regarding performance and design structure of the build. thanks . |

Have you been to Tim's website? www.sas-llc.us/ He has a few videos of the .30 can. He is great to deal with. Give him a call if you have any questions. He will bend over backwards for you. IIRC there was a group buy in Oregon so you may post a question in your hometown forum. Seems like a good bit of them were going on .30 guns. I've had mine about a year and really like it. ![]() ![]()

Noxspector, that would be kickass to meet up and check it out. I got 2 other .30 cans and rimfire Can also so you can check another Can out if you want. I am specifically interested in maintaining accuracy in my .308 bolt gun. like to get a can that holds tight and does not wonder to much on the POI. With differant rifle builds, Harmonics is a weird thing sometimes. barrels, bullets and Vel. all fly differant sometimes with the same Suppressor. So I would luv to check out that Can if you get a chance. I got a 30-221 subsonic boltgun that is threaded-off 5/8x24 also if you want to give that a go too. PM me or E-mail me. and we can get something going. If you get out to TCGC that is cool also I get there also. thanks . |
I might be out there Sunday.... BTW your IMs are off. |

I guess I should clarify...the first few times I shot my AR10 with the can, I didn't notice any blowback while I was shooting but when I got home, my eyes were burning and itching. I didn't think much of it until it happened the second time. I know I should wear my glasses every time I shoot but I had gotten a little lazy. This is just more incentive to ALWAYS wera my glasses. |
I bought one of his .30 cal cans for my 7.62x39 and .300 Whisper ARs. Unfortunately I haven't shot through it yet...it's has been TOOO Damn cold outside for my liking. Hopefully I'll get out to the range in the next couple weeks. As for customer service, Tim is a great guy to deal with. It was no problem for him to make a mount with 1/2x36 threads for my 7.62x39 setup. And the price was unbeatable. |

Well I finally used my SAS can and was quite impressed. I used it for .300 Whisper and 7.62x39mm. 7.62x39mm ![]() .300 Whisper/Fireball ![]() ETA: Here's a clip of the SAS can being used on my .300 Whisper setup: www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPVloZ8Ubng |

Just got back from SAS's shop. Just a few miles down the road! I can honestly say that Tim is one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet. He's honest and humble. I didn't get to hear his 30cal can, but his 22lr and 223can are scary quiet. ALSO....you guys need to keep a close eye on this guy. He showed me some things that he has in the works and you WILL be impressed. One thing I noticed after talking with him is that he actually listens to what his customers have to say. It's not just a "one size fits all" company. You want it and he'll try his hardest to make it reality. |

I do it, no problem. Be advised the .30 cal can is longer and heavier than a dedicated 5.56 can but according to Tim the .30 cal on the 5.56 is quieter than the 5.56 can. I used mine on an M4 on raids before and it was no problem moving through buildings and homes. A MK 18 clone with his can would be perfect but that is next years build... |

My first leap into the suppressor world was an SAS .30 can. I got an adapter for my AR15 and my FAL. On both guns it is a great performer. The .30 can is a little ungainly on a 16" AR, but it doesn't really matter, because I can't get it away from my wife long enough for my arms to get tired I am very happy with my can. |
