Hey everyone... I cant seem to find this anywhere...or well, i guess i just need some clarification...from what I have read...
Im 19..so I cant BUY ann SBR....But.. I believe you can "BUILD" one? But..with an AR...its like a snap together..compared to building a Krink or somthin... Also.. The forms you have to fill out.. that must be back in your hands before i could buy an assembled upper correct? So..i guess im asking.. being 19... is there anyway I can Build a..10.5-11.5 AR-15? would like to add one to the collection! Thanks |

You can buy a SBR at 19, just not from a dealer. You would have to buy it from a private individual in your state of residence as no dealer would be required. You can build a SBR ($200 tax stamp) using a ATF Form 1. And just to be safe, I wouldn't purchase a short barrel upper before the Form 1 comes back for the lower. |
