So I just mailed out my Form 1 today 06/23/10 for my SBR and now begins the long freaking wait!!!
However in the meantime I can start looking at rails, uppers, etc.... I think when I build mine, this is close to what the rifle would look like, except with the Magpul CTR stock ....let me know what you guys thinkhttp://stickman.rainierarms.com/galleries/Daniel%20Defense%20II/IMG_1277%201028%20Stick.jpg..

Let's see... June now, so... you could have a nice Christmas if it gets approved in time! ![]() +1, mine went pending April 1st and I don't expect to see it for at least another 3 months (seeing how long my recent SBR's took). But that AR looks great! My only recommendation is be sure about the rail you want. I have a DD M4 and lite rail. I like them both and they both have advantages. The M4 is lighter, but the lite rail looks better IMO and also has uninterupted top rail. If I were to do it again, I'd get a second lite rail. Also the KX3 (flamming pig) is a cool looking comp and does what it is designed for, but is pretty heavy. I'd recommend going a different route if you want a light weight build (which in my opinion all SBR's should be). Just my 2 cents. |

I have an AR with the Lite Rail and I love it but the M4 is the only one that DD has that will allows the KX3 to fit underneat the rail, which is the main reason I am going with the M4 rail, I personally love how it looks with half of it exposed and the other half covered... |

Quoted: Looks good! May I suggest a compact ACOG instead of the eotech. As far as your wait goes, I mailed mine on 03/03/10 and it went pending on 04/09/10. I am hoping it gets approved any day now. We have about the same time line going; I sent mine on 08MAR10 and it went pending on 14APR10. Do you know who your examiner is? |
