Ok So I want to go the SBR route, unfortunantly most info I have found is in regards to Suppressors or MG's....What's the straight dope on SBR'ing your lower? What forms do I need? Do I need to go through a class 3 dealer? And if I remeber correctly, do you have to get your lower engraved with something?  Thanks for any and all info.

Goto Arms and Tactics General Class Three and Class Three Firearms section. Plenty of Short Rifle talk there.

You need ATF form 1 if building yourself, or form 4 if buying already built one, you need form 5330.20 citizenship form, you need ATF specific fingerprint cards,  first off contact your Chief Law Enf. officer and see if they will sign the forms, if not then you need come up with plan 2 but it's not over.  Buying a factory short rifle from a dealer will help get you walked through the paperwork the first time till you know the skinney.

You mark your name (or the name of the corp/llc/trust, if you use that route) plus the city and state where you reside.

State can be abbreviated; you can use an accepted city abbreviation if there is one, or the three-letter municipal city code; you can use the first letter of your first name; your last name is the only thing that has to be spelled out.
