| Ok. so I have decided to go the trust rout in getting my SBR. Problem is, I am from Texas, have a Texas license and residency. I am military and am stationed in Kanses. SBR's are allowed in both states. I am going to set up my trust in Texas, do I need to do the Form 1 in Texas and transfer it to Kansas right afterwards, or can I do it in Kansas with a Texas trust and just transfer it to Texas when I get out of the service? Thanks. |

Know nothing of trusts but you legally can do it on a CLEO signoff in either state. You reside in both states. As far as the transfer that's a form 5320.20 you can fill it out for permanant moves from state to state or back and forth willy nilly from state to state for 1 yr at a time. |
What about having more than one residence in a state, anything special need to be done about that or can you just simply pick one residence and go from there? |
