Any year now. I finally had time to take it out last weekend and mess with the gas screw. Had it working perfect to where it would hold the mag open using Wolf. Which size did you end up going with? and is that a 10 or 10.5? I ordered a few based upon other recommendations I saw online. |

It's a 10.5". I didn't buy the FN ones. I kept drilling the hole bigger and bigger using a set of number drills. I believe i stopped at #45 (.0820) or #46 (.0810). I had the bolt holding back every time using Wolf 55gr. I put a sear in it (07/02 MFG) and it would not run unless i had a can on it. I didn't have my number drills but went up to 3/32 and still wouldn't function. I need to get back out with it. Ill post a video when im done. |

There is a space in between the cathode and MCP. When the PVS14 is turned on, the 'film' flexes (like a drum) as it collects light/ionizes, etc. The recoil from a 7.62x51 causes the film to over flex and it routinely will touch the MCP. This will leave a black spot...usually in the very middle. You can't fix it. Of course, if you have a film-less then this is not an issue since nothing is there to over flex and contact the MCP. |
