So am I. It's wickedly bad ass in that game.

Does the H actually take AK mags? I read that it would/could but I've yet to see any pictures of it.

I thought the 'H' was 7.62x51?  I think that extra half inch of cartridge length may rule out the AK mags.

You are correct, SCAR H is 7.62 NATO.  There are no plans to offer a 7.62x39 version, so no AK mags.

I was going to get MW2 until they ruined multiplayer by removing dedicated servers. It disgusts me how the Activision CEO is.

I have never seen a SCAR-H in a gun shop or online for sale, I just saw a SCAR-L today at a local store. I think it was $2700. I got to hold a FS2000 and a MSAR STG, among various pistols. I liked both of the rifles, they're pretty awesome. I'm starting to like too many guns for my own good. The whole BRD thing is spreading to other guns and I haven't even finished customizing my AR-15. I'm going to need a mega job to pay for all of this stuff.

Not sure of a release date but RSR Group has a SKU number for a black and FDE "H" SCAR.

Will it be priced near the SCAR-L?  For some reason I can almost justify paying $3000+ for something in 7.62x51.

For RSR pricing it looked to be about $200 more than than the "L" model but I have never seen any SCARs in stock.

from FNHUSA's november press release

SCAR
SCAR 16S is back in black.
The SCAR 16S – the semi-auto version of the U.S. Special Operations Command’s newest service rifle –– is now available in matte black with all the same features as the flat dark earth model and can be purchased with 10 or 30-round magazines.

SCAR 17S
Released for 2010 is the highly anticipated SCAR 17S now available for civilian purchase. Chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO (308 Win.) and slightly heavier than the SCAR 16S, this unique carbine offers long-range accuracy, exceptional reliability and match winning versatility.

Both SCARs have fully ambidextrous operating controls, a free floating, cold hammer-forged Mil-SPEC barrel with hard-chromed bore; a receiver-integrated MIL-STD 1913 optical rail plus three accessory rails for mounting scopes, electronic sights, lights, or lasers. The side-folding polymer stock is fully adjustable for comb height and has six settings for length of pull. The SCAR also features a tactically advantageous reciprocating charging handle for quick ammo and magazine failure response.

I knew I wasn't imagining it:
http://world.guns.ru/assault/as70-e.htm
"The initial solicitation indicated that the SCAR-H would also be chambered for the 7.62x39mm M43 cartridge. However, FN is not currently offering other calibers."

However the wiki has more information.
