What is the purpose of the knob-type-thing  on the left side that the hex bolt goes through?  It appears to cam.

This is how I mounted it:

1) Put mount on receiver, tightened rear alan bolt
2) Tightened hex bolt on left side, negating any adjustment of said knob-type-piece b/c I have no idea what it is there for.

Did I miss something?

I was totally off base with my answer so I struck it from the records.

Um, they come with directions.....

Mount it up, and loosely attach the rear allen. Use the cam and bolt on the side to align the mount to a level position. (The SEI mount is capable of raising your optics 20MOA from what I understand.) Lock it down and torque to specs, then lock in the rear and front allens.

I think.

Been a while since I installed mine.

In lieu of directions, I'm posting here.  Thanks for the benefitof the doubt.  Beleive it, or not I'm not retarded.  I figured it was to adjust the way is sat on the receiver, but didn't realize it was to angle it vertically.  When I finally get he scope on there next weekend, I'll have to play with it some more.  Thanks.
