The Arrendo will not let the stock latch in the folded position. I have a design optimized for the SIG 556 in the works, will be the follow on to the Scorpion Grip. |

The Knights Armament enlarged mag release that comes with their drop-in AR15 ambi mag release is a great addition to the 556 lower. What the 556 lower still needs: - An adapter to allow the use of AR15 grips (ie Magpul MIAD) - Ambi mag release |

The Burris LRS itself weighs in at 17oz. and the mount is probably at least another 5 to 7 oz. I had a similar configuration for a while using a Trijicon TR24G and trimmed quite a bit of weight going back to an Aimpoint Red dot. I guess it just depends on what you are using the rifle for ey! This configuration of yours looks like it may weigh a fair piece with that flashlight and bipod on the front.

I do not like them
in a house. I do not like them with a mouse. I do not like them here or there. I do not like them anywhere. I do not like Sig Sauer diopter sights. I do not like them, Sam-I-am. I don't like them at all. I prefer the popsicle rear sight much better. I couldn't get used to the V notch sight and the 100m peep blocked out too much periphial view and impossible to use with an optic. Originally Posted By cyclone:

Congrats on getting off the fence. You've made a great decision on a fantastic rifle!

Nice choice in the Patrol model. It's not so front heavy and offers the same reliability you expect from the 556 platform.

On something with as much beef as my 556, I feel like I'm grabbing a 2x4. |

On something with as much beef as my 556, I feel like I'm grabbing a 2x4. Thanks! It started out with the folding CTR and (sub)standard flip ups that came on the first runs of 556s. I swapped out the front sight with the Samson flip up, right now I've got a LaRue BUIS on the back, and I installed a Griffon charging handle. It lasted that way for a bit before I changed the stock for the UBR. Most recent things swapped out were the trigger guard, and the flash hider. Oh, and since I get it asked a lot, I didn't get it refinished, there was a distributor special edition that were done up FDE at the factory. This was actually the first long gun I ever bought. |
