I just picked up my MPX and wow it's really nice! I'll be out testing it tomorrow morning after work :) One thing I do notice though is the handguard has a big of front/back movement. Is this normal? I prefer a tight lock up but seeing how they are attached, maybe everyone's had a bit of play.

Mine was loose and I put some shims in the front which helped alot http://triggershims.com/ar_15_shims.html#S23 |

Just got back from the range and this thing is a blast to shoot. Very accurate as well. I put about 200 rounds through it without any problems. Sights are zeroed perfect..back sight right in center of adjustment.
I got to looking at my handguard and since it seems its common I fixed it in under 5 minutes. It's rock solid now. I tore it down and found a small piece of thin black rubber. Cut it to match the rail on rifle right below where the tab goes through. Drop of krazy glue to try it and put it together. Rock solid and you cant even see it unless you'd be looking for it. It was just a slight movement, but it bothered me. It's gone now though. |
