Has anyone seen this on the SIG site yet?
http://sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/p516-10-pistol-with-sb15-pistol-stabilizing-brace.aspx To me it seems to be ATF approved for now but, if people start shouldering it that could change quickly. |

Since the brace is not designed or intended to be used from the shoulder (even though you can use it from the shoulder) it is not NFA. Its same thing as butting the pistol AR buffer tube to your shoulder.
Is shouldering your pistol AR buffer tube to your shoulder illegal now ? Nope. |

I just picked one up tonight while i was at work at the range. The ATF letter they include with it says quite clearly "We find that the device is not designed or intended to fire a weapon from the shoulder." Looks like it may be lots of fun, but I cannot for the life of me use the sights w/ it attached to my forearm, but it'd point quite nicely. I've put it on my 22 pistol so I'll see how it works. |
