I was just reading some stuff on the ATF's site and saw it mention the cost for a Class II SOT is $1,000/year. I thought it was $500, can someone confirm?

There is a cut off I think at like $250k a year sales or profit. Below it $500 above $1000.

The cut-off is $500K in sales.

C3 is a flat $500/yr.

C1/C2 are either $1000/yr (regular rate) or $500/yr (reduced rate for gross sales under $500k per year)

Has the price gone up?  I am just starting to fill out my form 7 application and it says Dealer/Manufacturer/Importer is $3,000.  I was really looking at getting my 02 or 03 SOT (Depending on how soon I can find a decently priced Bridgeport to go with my lathe) but it looks there goes my mill money.  I also don't see anywhere to file for the reduced rate either.

EDIT: Nevermind, "Licenses are issued for a 3-year period"

I still don't know how to file for the reduced rate though.

The F7 lists license fees only.  First you get the FFL, then you pay your yearly SOT.

Type 10 FFL (manufacturer of destructive devices) is the $3000 per 3 years one.  Type 07 (manufacturer of firearms other than destructive devices) is $150 per three years.

The reduced rate is for the $1000 or $500 (reduced) Class 2 SOT yearly on top of the FFL license fee.
