I found a used mini-bog at a decent price and grabbed it. Seems it was pieced together from 2 different guns as upper is FDE and lower is black. Got to shoot it today with an Omega 9k and a spare PA red dot I had sitting around. Need to find a different sight for it, but I like the gun so far. The bolt release could use some improvement. Got my form 1 back. So now I just need to go and shoot it. I use Silencer Shop kiosk to do the form one. It took one month almost to the day to get the stamp approved.

I changed the trigger springs as well. I eventually ended up swapping the stock lower for a Lingle scorpion pattern lower because I was having feeding issues and didn't like the mags. I think the lowers are definitely worth it, but expensive. |

The downside is that the increased delay may cause issues with some underpowered ammo, but the advantages outweigh the disadvantages for most people. |

I honestly don’t think there is any good reason to keep running the factory 45 block nowadays. Whether the 40 or 35 works better probably depends a little on what ammo and suppressor you run. |
I cut my A1 barrel down to 6" and put a 3 lug adapter on it and run a GSL Fatman. I got this before there were A3s and did the "Free" ATF form. I like the wire stock, it sits lower that the Safety Harbor one for an easier co witnessed sight alignment for the red dot and flip up sights. The straight mags run great and seem to fit the vibe. I didn't care for the Lingle lower and PSA mags.

Yes you should be fine. I did the same (3-lug with R9) under a JTAC 3.25" handguard. I prefer it to direct thread as it's easier to pop on/off, especially if you plan to use the R9 on other 3-lug mounted hosts.

| The thing that matters is whether the suppressor fits under the extended handguard, not whether it’s direct thread or 3 lug. The R9 is 1.56” in diameter. I’m not sure I’ve seen a 3.5” Stribog extension from KDG. The older ones were 3” and the current ones are 3.25”. The current ones have an ID of 1.7”, so a R9 should be fine. |

| If you are talking about the 40* locking block? Global Ordnance has them for sale at $55. 35* blocks should be showing up in the next couple years. Guy on reddit says he will make 30* or 25* if there is enough interest. Europe has a 30* locking block but no idea when or if it makes it to the states. |

I suspect he’s talking about the charging block, the block that the charging handle goes into, not the locking block with various degree angles that the roller pin goes under. HBI makes a locking charging block that has a ball detent that locks the charging block into the front m-Lok slot so it doesn’t move around under recoil. |

HBI said their charging block doesnt fit the A3-S model as it sticks out the from of the gun, but if i get an extended hand guard, i dont think it would be an issue? |

I had offered them for a little while. I got a lot of "Take my money!", but no real interest mostly because because of the receiver work that need to be done, so i remain the only one that owns a couple of them. I had even made dual folding charging handles designed specifically for them.
