There's a learning curve to those, run it hard and get it hot, and test your screws when you get home to find the ones that need locktight. It's a very neat gun. The sight height on your AR is ridiculous Stribog looks clean and pretty. Time to light it up! Congrats, you're going to love it. |

I'm tapped on fun money until my EE stuff sells. System feels good. Really would like a Lingle lower for the AR grip. The mag button on this is useless. Overall, feels good. Attached File |

Still need to throw a laser on it. My last RDB I literally loc-tite'd every screw. I'll get around to doing it on this one too. I've got a sandman X on the way, so that will be going on the non adjustable gas 11.5" and I've got a 16" AR with rifle speed agb coming and I'll throw the Enticer on it. Thanks bro, can't wait to put some rounds through it. I'll probably run a mag or two as it is just so I can see the difference when the KDG buffer and the 40 degree locking piece show up. |

Sight-in was a breeze and I had about 1.5" on the reg at 25 yards. Recoil is indistinguishable from some 9mm alternatives. UMP mags arrived and, golly, do they look obnoxious. Love it. UMP mags don't drop free. The factory mags do, and will hit ya in the nuts if you're fkin around with it on the couch. ![]() It's nice to have variety and this is my first .45 in the PCC stable, but I think the jury is out about whether this is worth twice the cost per round for plinking. |

| That's awesome! I used to have a UMP plastiwelded (back in the 2009 time frame) and yeah, those mags are ridiculous. Maybe shave or use some sandpaper on the mags to help them drop free. I really want to get one. Would be my only 45 minus a USPc and USP full size. Got rid of the rest of my 45's, it just looks so damn proper. |

I would post a side by side puc of the top of the mags, but this site always wants me to post a website link and not a pic.... There is a guy on another form still having issues feeding hollows points with the newest black curved mags. Can anyone confirm that they did away with the retarded soft spring and tilting followers like they use in the smoke mags? |

The tilting follower problem is what I cured by rotating the follower 180 degrees in the spring on my SP45A3 mags. Oriented this way the spring now pushes the front of the follower up instead of the rear. Don't know if the change would have the same effect on the 9mm mags. |

There is a guy on another form still having issues feeding hollows points with the newest black curved mags. Can anyone confirm that they did away with the retarded soft spring and tilting followers like they use in the smoke mags? The Stribog will always be particular about what hollow-points it likes. Improved magazines can help, and I've found hollow-point profile bullets it loves that I trust. But the nature of the double-stack feed system, the feed shelf thing, and the lack of a feed ramp, all centers around a gun that was designed for military applications - meaning FMJ bullet profiles. And to run them hot - very very very hot, if you want. But the double-stack concept and lack of feed-ramp means they are going to feed up and sideways into the chamber, and no feedramp. Not every bullet shape is going to be as forgiving to that. There are going to be hollow-points that Stribogs struggle with, and that's never going to fully go away. As far as I can tell, this applies to basically all double-stack feed PCC's, to various degrees. There is one option. If you want to feed hollow-points, Glock magazine lower will be your best bet as that is a single feed system that is more directly right up into the chamber, and likely will be more reliable with open-mouth irregular profile shape bullets. ![]() |

It just was never ment to feed Hollows, but after converting to MP5 mags a few years ago it fixed my hollow point feeding issues. I can litteraly feed it anything and everything though that basturd which is awesome. |

Thanks! |

Originally Posted By hdcharlie: Is there going to be a version for the SP45A3? No because the SP45A3 is already short stroked from the factory so it would just shorten the stroke even more, then you would lose LRBHO. If you picked ups a factory buffer from an SP9a3 and used that it would work. |

I have the hbi one and the 40 degree LB. I don't have a ton of rounds through it so l don't see any rail damage/peening yet. If yous offers additional buffering and protection l don't have a problem replacing it with yours if you think it will be beneficial. |

Without it you would damage the rails after a while which is why they recalled them a few years ago to switch to the 45. Alot of people are not aware of that especially new guys just getting into the Stribog. Basically when its short stroked the roller delay can not function as good, but it saves the rails. You will most definitely benefit more with my kit vs HBI's because it gives it that extra bolt slow down that you don't get with any other short stroke buffer. |

It was a solid roller. I got well into hot .357 Magnum power level with 9mm in that Stribog, but not quite M1 Carbine level. I backed off, probably not a great long term plan. I will say wow, that gun is damned strong. |
