Thinking about getting one for a G17.

Thoughts?

I do not think they are making them any more.  Have you thought about their new octane-9 can?

After seeing how well it did on silencer research, I was interested in one too.  Talked to Bryon about it, he said I would absolutely be happier with the performance of the Trident (a statement that would apply to the Octane as well).  As it turns out, I'm getting a 45Osprey, but for a 9mm can, I would very likely get the Octane, since it would be so easy to shoot 22 out of as well (its a take apart and improved version of the Trident).

It performs on par with the Evo 9 old core. If you are set on a 1.25" can, I'd get the Evo 9 new core, but the 1.375" cans are going to be noticeably better. Like already said I'd get an Octane 9 (with stainless blast baffle option) or Tirant 9. If you are not a heavy user then a sealed can will work for you - Osprey 9, Trident.

I have a shadow 9 on my 1911 and have liked it so far. Havent shot it next to any other 9mm cans but I like the fact that my target sights clear the can and def wouldn't had I gone with a trident. For the price they are def a good can but like said it's not the quietest. If you look up "silenced kimber 9m" on YouTube there's a vid of my friend shooting my setup.

Couldn't pass up the price.

Well, for $400 thats not too bad at all

You'll be in the whole thing for what some of the newer cans cost before the stamp.  Good job!  Get the barrel from Lone Wolf.

I've got one of the first batches thru adco, and adco is awesome to deal with! Bought mine for almost 700 in 2007 I believe, 400 is a good deal. If it's your first it's addicting, I'm now on supressor #4 and a m16 haha

If you would have said, "I'm looking at one for $400", then I would have said, "Spend the extra $175 on an Evo 9 new core". Silencer purchases are pretty much for life.

I was looking for affirmation more than permission.

Ooookay. I didn't see any affirmation posted.
