there doesnt seem to be a whole lot of info on this can, so I thought I'd put it out and see what came back.

opinions/thoughts/discussions/anything on the wolverine?

my local guy has a wolverine and I'm pretty interested in it.
I have a warlock, so I'm familiar with SWR's "product" and think highly of them
I also have a YHM Phantom paid for (with a couple of mounts) and just waiting (and waiting....) on BATFE to sign my papers, so this wouldnt be my only 5.56 can

specific/intended use would be 'dedicated' on a 10.5" SBR.  semi auto, range toy/hog killer

I hear that SWR has "new and exciting things" on the horizon, but what's the concensus on the Wolverine I can start working on today?

TIA

ETA: nobody?

(bumping back to first page)

80 100 views and nobody has anything to say about the wolverine?

I'll be honest....part of the draw (for me) of this suppressor is the fact they're apparently "rare".
but why?  I know SWR makes a good product.....why do you not see very many of the Wolverines?

My guess would be because it is a thread mounted suppressor, and most people choose a QD mount.  It does look like a geat suppressor, and so far I have been impressed with SWR products.

thanks for the reply dingle!

that may be true.  which is another reason why I'm interested in it.  I'll already have one multi-mount suppressor and for the rifle I want to put the wolverine on, it would basically live there, so no need for qd.  only thing I've really seen on the wolverine is on ST and that wasnt a whole lot of info.  or should I say, I'd like more opinions.  which apparently is like hens teeth on this thing.....

I dont  have a Wolverine, but I think it was not in production a year or so ago when I was thinking about getting one(I could be wrong about that)   Seems I remember that it was either about to be produced or maybe it had been made for a while and then SWR stopped production for a time.

Have you compared it with the SRT Typhoon? It is about the same weight as the Wolverine, but shorter. I dont know how the sound compares between the two. SRT also has a titanium version which is much lighter.

I have not compared it to anything.  like I said, part of my interest in it is the fact that my local guy has one in hand.

I "ordered" my YHM (local guy didnt have in stock) and transfer took 4 months just to get from YHM to him.
I paid for the can in september and just now sent my paperwork to BATFE last week.
which sucks.

BuffDragon,

I've asked the same questions regarding the SWR Wolverine and no one has any first hand knowledge???  I found a NIB Wolverine in a shop in AZ, price looks ok, maybe there is a little room for negations - nice looking can.

My plan was to put it on my 20" Rem 700 - dedicated can.

I would really like to hear one or read a comparison; maybe Silencer Test did a comparo???

When I last spoke with Henry/SWR he told me they were working on an attachment similar to the Gemtech/HALO for the Wolverine. I was interested in this due to not wanting to have to buy adapters for every rifle. Although the HALO's attachment method is not considered a QD by many it's advantage is clear! SWR's products are top shelf.

there was a test done on silencer tests and they spoke pretty well of it, mostly in its ability to handle abuse, but that's about it.  (was apparently shot quite a bit on a 7.5" upper)
wasnt very in depth and didnt compare to anything else.
based only on that info, I'm very interested in the can, but was hoping the hive here had something else to say

honestly, kinda suprises me that 250 views on the biggest gun board on the net and nobody has any hands on experience.

I know SWR has outstanding products and service (as I said, I have a warlock) and some of their other suppressors are 1st tier for sure.
just like a warm fuzzy when someone pipes up with personal thoughts.
