I installed a Power Custom hammer & sear kit in my 10/22. Very little stoning was done before installation. My problem is if the safety is in the "ON" position and I rack the action to chamber a round, the safety won't switch "OFF" unless I take the butt of my pocket knife or something hard and pop it with a little force to knock it "OFF".

What I have to do is chamber a round with the safety off then I can switch it either way with no problem once a round is in the pipe. I'm hoping that over time switching back & forth will wear it down to where it needs to be.

Is this a common problem?

When I put the power custom sear and hammer into my 10/22 I had to stone some material off the sear where it contacts the safety so it would function. I believe it gives a guide in the directions on how to do so. Its only a thousandth or 2 so a regular knife sharpening stone would work fine.
