Anyone know what the minimum barrel length is?
Edit: http://www.deadairsilencers.com/products.html The products page doesn't show any minimum. Was trying to decide between this and a Saker K 556 for 7.5/10.5/16in 5.56mm rifles. |

I sent them an email. We will see if I get a reply.
*Edit* Keep in mind...I just asked about barrel lengths in general Thanks for the email and interest in our products. On 5.56 and BLK we'll go down to 7.5". 308 is little more pressure, so that'll be longer. 12.5" should cover the average extreme shortest barrel for that caliber. 300 WM should be good to 18". Bottom line is we'll cover pretty much anything. Even if you go shorter than recommended length and something were to happen, we'll figure out a solution and make sure you're happy with the outcome. Hope that helps and let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. Thanks again, Cade Cade Patterson | Dead Air Armament 877-892-7544 |

Nice to get a quick reply. I figured these ratings were the case but it's nice to hear it straight from the source. |

As a note, I just bought a Sandman-S and was told that the 1/2-28 QD mounts are currently not available -- but should be by the time the Form 4 is approved. I've been told the same Do the cans come with a mount? A 7.62 standard QD brake. |

The one thing about the Sandman looking at them, it makes me think of the Kestrels from HTA with the fluting on them that seems to be weak points on the Kestrels. Could that be an issue with these? I wouldn't be to worried about what Mike Pappas is putting out to market. Just my .02. |

The flutes that HTA does are much deeper and narrow and localize stress much more. The Sandman also has a welded core underneath that tube. |
