Got my new Savage 116 stainless with detachable box magazine in .30-06. Real nice rifle, light, handles well.....mounted a 2X7 leoupold on it...Will see if she's a shooter this weekend

Shoots little over 1" groups at 100 yards, I'm more than satisfied...nice, handy rifle, the Accu-trigger is great

Sounds good. What ammo were you shooting? Have you tried any other ammo?

Coondog has a Savage & he loves his. Their rep currently is the best value for the $$$ & then some. Glad to hear yours turned out well!

Shot some of my left overs.....180 grain Hornandy and 165 grain Remington Core lokts.....Will be trying some 165 grain Hornandy Light Mag interbonds and some 55 grain Remington accellorators in the next few weeks. Hopefully it shoots the interbonds well as I would use that round for all big game hunting... the accellerators would be a nice bonus
