I am looking for some specific info about about the barrel twist on my rifle. I just got a model 11 hunting rifle and took it out to the range. I was shooting factory federal match 168 grain bullets and it was all over the place. But worse yet every round I shoot at 100 yards tumbled and was spread over about three feet. The rifling looks bright but could this much erratic bullet behavior be caused by slow rifling or could there be something wrong with the barrel itself?

Curtis The Savage website can probably tell you what your twist rate is. Look for your rifle under the products tab I think. |
