Here is the situation:

I just sold my RCBS charge master to get funds for a Dillon 650.

I will be making a Dillon 650 order tonight, and I need a good scale to calibrate my powder measure.

I dont care if it is digital or a beam scale, as long as it is reliable and reasonably priced.

What do you recommend?

Dillon sells a good beam scale, order with 650.

I have a RCBS 505.

Well, I'll be damned. That is exactly the same as the Hornady GS-1500 that I just paid $25 for.
But it did come with the calibration weight. Oh well.

Always keep a decent mechanical scale around! So in this case the best value on the market is the Dillon Eliminator.  Same guts as the RCBS 505.  The guts come from Ohaus, makers of Lab grade scales....

Electronic scales have a tendancy of going to heck at night or weekends when you can got get a replacement...but you can always drag out the mechanical scale......Hornady has an inexpensive electronic scale for less than 30 bucks...you could get that...............

Thanks for the info.

I added the Dillon beam scale to my Dillon 650 purchase last night.
