I'm assembling my tools to begin reloading with my Dillon SDB. Since I'll exclusively be loading handgun calibers (.38 and 9mm to start) I'd like an accurate scale, since tiny variations will go a long way. I don't think i need a $3K digital crazy thing, but as I read reviews at Midway and Brownells, it seems that just about very model has a glowing review followed by a scathing one. I think I'm settling on the RCBS 505. I guess I'm not entirely certain what I'm looking for. I'd like a digital scale, but it would appear that the beams are inherently more consistent and accurate.
Is there a favorite here? |

Might look into dillon eliminators beams.
I just picked up a set of these on sale. They don't seem all that bad for quick checking but I wouldn't trickle. After being on for several minutes they do seem to give slightly different readings with more variance. I'm going to put some better batteries in and see if they still react the same. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/175512/frankford-arsenal-ds-750-electronic-powder-scale-750-grain-capacity |
