Is it acceptable to include an assignment sheet instead of a Schedule A? I keep getting conflicting information regarding the requirement. Some say you must have a schedule A, some say you should not include a Schedule A because legally it's not required and it provides a list of property that may not all be NFA related. No I have been reading that some people are sending an assignment sheet instead... I am becoming confused. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks! |

Thanks! Does your trust list/mention a Schedule A in the Declaration of Trust? If so, you need to include any schedules listed when you mail your paperwork. If no schedules are mentioned, nothing is required, though it wouldn't hurt to send an Assignment of Property. You never know when an examiner will get a hair up their butt. |

my understanding is Schedule A defines what the Trust owns.
Assignment of Property is the transfer of items without a Certificate of Title to the Trust. If you have property with a Certificate of Title, the Trust name has to be listed as the owner and that can be used instead of Assignment of Property. thats my understanding of the law speak. I sent only the Schedule A. |
