I finally managed to lay my hands on one of these. I want to use optics and I was leaning towards a Weaver 1-3x. I had read the review previously on gunblast and he had a Trijicon 1.25-4 on it, and from its position in the rings, it looked like it was barely long enough to fit. So what I'm wondering is if any of you have ever used a Weaver V 1-3x on this rifle and if not, what scope are you using? |
| I have been running a 3x9x40 Bone Collector scope on mine since I bought it new and have had excellent results. First the gun shoots really good, a lot better than I had imagined and the scope holds zero, is very clear and sharp and also has plenty of room to navigate it between the rings for proper eye releif. I am using the rear mounting point and has so far been an excellent performer on mine. I have no experience with any weaver scope except on a couple of my revolvers so I cant speak for them but hey, Weaver has been making scopes for a long time and I have never heard anything bad about any of them. |
| I have a Weaver 1 X 3 variable and am not too impressed with it. On one power it is actually about .75 power I have to crank it up to about 1.5 to 1.75 to get it up to a true one power. I'm guessing at the full 3 power it is actually about 2.25, these are just estimates though. |
