Can anyone recommend a decent, inexpensive scope setup to use on a GSG-5? I just picked the gun up yesterday NIB and looking for some suggestions for a scope that will work but still cheap (relatively) toget hold of.  Thanks

I'm really happy with the one I chose...holds zero and hits the mark.
See my thread for model and Pics of my setup...I got it from Amazon.com

I know you asked for a scope, but I'll tell you this anyway.
TNVS has a nice red dot for about $170 IIRC.

I mainly shoot steel with mine and the red dot works great.
Something worth considering, depending on how you intend to use the rifle.

A red dot would be fine. I'll just be plinking targets with this thing so scope or red dot will work. $170 is a little more than I wanted to put in it though.

i have a bushnell, i think its the trophy.  nice and crisp, holds a good zero, and looks roughly like an acog.

for magnification I use a rubberized 3-9x42 NC star with blue ilumination and built in red laser.  With the quick release mount you can go from optices to irons in two movements.  I sight the laser in at 25 yards and do the crosshairs at 100.  If I need to hit something quick and short the laser works.  If I need some distance I've got it.  Works great in low light as well.

I have 2 optics I use. i have a red dot style I got from rrages, the sightmark one I think. Then I got a 3-9x40 Powerline cheapo at walmart with a set of tall rings I can use the irons through too for about $50. It works and holds zero so I have been happy with it for what I paid for it.

Which Bushnell is that?

Ok checked it out it's the MP red dot. Wish I could get one with some magnification, it looks sweet.
