| I've got a Marlin 795 .22lr with a Simmons 1 inch 3-9x scope.The scope is fine for my purposes but the rings that came with it suck balls,so I need some recommendations for scope rings that will not loosen up on me.I need rings that mount to a 3/8 inch dovetail.Thanks. |
Weaver Quad Lock, affordable  and damn tight. Be sure you lap them as all rings/bases and 3/8' grooves on recivers (also holes in recivers) have some mis-alignment . I use a 6" piece of 1" cold rolled steel and valve grinding compound from the local car parts store Aluminum rings shouln't take more than 1/2 hour of your time . Cover the reciver with a rag slitted over the ring bottoms to make cleanup easier.
