Hey all, I've shot 556 and 762x39 all my life but want to get into 308. I have an offer to trade my MSAR-E4 with ACOG for the following. I figure he has about $2300 of stuff on the offer while I've got more like $2800 sitting on the table. I could also keep the ACOG and add some ammo or something to even it out that way. What do you think?
His rifle: - Scout squad M1A - Black synthetic stock - MI forward Fast Fire 2 scout mount and optic (cowitness) - Smith gas plug - Smith gas lock front sight - Smith vortex flash hider - 7 20 round mags - 6 pmags (556) My rifle: - OD MSAR E4, 16" barrel - ACOG, TA01NSN - TR-1 tactical rail with a cheapo laser on top - manticore charging handle - neu-trigger - 6" rail, currently at the 3 o'clock position - 6 USGI mags - 3 point sling - includes all the original parts I upgraded |

The scout squad is usually between $1100 and $1500. The mags bring his total up but your acog would be the price of his rifle. Up to you bud. I would remove the acog from the trade personally. |
| The scout is around 1600-1698 new.. Buds last price was $1600 and its hard to beat them.. I have seen the MSAR around 1800-2000 The M1a is a better rifle than a MSAR....(in my opinion) Id do without the ACOG.. 2 different animals... just depends what you want. I like the SCAR platform not much on a MSAR, Maybe different if I had the real deal in a AUG.. but just not into them bull pups.. |
