I have several items I want to secure. They are too big for a gun safe so I was thinking about building a secure cage and bolting it to the floor.
I'd like the cage to be: 1. Strong enough so you can't cut through it with bolt cutters. 2. Secured using a padlock. 3. Ability to bolt it to the floor Has anyone seen anything like this? I'd like to get some ideas/designs so I can build it myself. |

You could easily have one fabricated and welded using thick expanded metal and angle iron. I had a friend years ago that made something like that to place around a guys Browning gun safe. I'm thinking about doing something similar. I would use a cage designed to hold high dollar inventory instead of a gun safe. The cage would be put inside a framework made of steel bars and the framework would be bolted to the floor.. The problem now is where to find an inexpensive used cage...
