I've used my Benelli M4 in 9 degree weather with sub zero wind chills. No issues. Just be sure to use a lighter lube for cold weather, such as rem oil

I've not had mine out in really cold weather.  My dad had an old Rem. 1100 12 ga. he used in really cold weather at home for grouse hunting.  Really cold for him hunting was around 10 to 20 F.  He didn't go when it got down to -10 to -20 F.  When I hunted at those temps. (just a few times as it doesn't get that cold for that long in the WV mountains - maybe only 2 or 3 days every 3 or 4 years will you get a cold snap like that) I carried my Ithaca pump.

I'm not sure about my 11-87 but I'd bet my old Auto 5 would work just fine (recoil operated) with the light synthetic oil I use.

Living up there I'm sure you know not to use grease or thick/gooey oils.

I have hunted with a Beretta 390 and a Benelli SBEII in single digit temperatures without any problem.

I have a Remington 1100 that after about 100 round break in, will cycle any load (bird, buck, slug) that i have put through it. It's not set up for hunting as its the tac 2 model and holds 6+1 but man it's soft shooting for a 12 gauge and will cycle all 7 rounds as fast as I can pull the trigger. I've been to the range once or twice this winter and it was cold around 25 degrees and I didn't notice any decline in performance ate the mixture of buck, slugs and bird shot I put through it. Although if I was bugging out tomorrow and all I could take was one of my shotguns it would my Remington 870 tactical express never any issues with it

I've bird hunted all day long in the teens and single digits with my M2.  Nary a problem.

I've never had  problem with my Benelli's andf I've hunted is some extreme cold with them. My first repeater was an old Winchester 1300 auto and that thing was practically worthless in the cold, the action would get so slow that I would shoot the gun then after the sound died down I could hear the bolt cycling.

Seeing how a 1300 is a pump gun, I suspect it was haunted.  Do you hear sounds coming from the guns safe also?

A friend and I went out a couple of weeks ago, shooting his Stoeger M2000 in 25 degrees or so. We went through maybe 100 rds, and didn't have any malfunctions.

I waterfowl hunt with a Beretta AL390 and never had a problem in sub-freezing with it. It is usually lubed with remoil but I never even gave it a thought to be honest. I usually also bring a Benelli pump that take 3 1/2" magnums for the long shots and geese, so that is probably one reason I was never concerned.

never had a problem with my M2, nor had my buddy's SBE II that has been used in single digits goose hunting.

I messed up, it is a 1400 auto. I'm not much for the older Winchester pumps/autos and have a hard time keeping the numbers straight. I do hear sounds coming from the gun safe though, they are saying "take me out and shoot me" or " please fill this empty space"

A friend's Beretta choked in cold weather but ran fine after some Rem oil.  He was a big WD40 guy and had not shot it in several years.
