Well, it is fun for about 30 seconds to separate your mod 3,,until you want to hand it to a friend and realize he can't turn it on and see anything.
So what do i have to own to power the separated one? |

So what do i have to own to power the separated one? there should be two attachments that use CR123A batteries. see TNVC site notice that last two pics. ETA: beat by a minute. |

mine did from NightLong. where did you purchase? Well, it turns out I'm an idiot. I installed on a helmet when they got here 2 months ago,,threw the bag down and never looked in it until now. There they were in the bottom of the bag that the mod3 came in. Thanks for waking me up guys! |

So what does get connected to the threaded hole on the adapter? Is there another adapter for a helmet or something? That's where you'd screw on either a J-Arm bayonet or something like a Norotos dual-dovetail that clips into the mount that swings up and down on your helmet. |

I guess i can make something to screw to that that fastens to a lanyard. Nobody around my house that might borrow it will have a helmet anyway. |
| If you didn't get a Pelican 1200 case when you bought them then I would suggest you order one from Amazon or somewhere else. With the pick-a-foam insert the 1200 fits the MOD3 and the 2 monopod attachments perfectly and the $40 or so will be well spent to protect your investment. |
