Any thoughts on the Serbu BFG compared with their Carbine model. Would the recoil be much greater with carbine? How "punishing" on the shoulder are these 2 rifles?

yes, please...

actually, i fired the serbu rifle (dont think it was the carbine- its DVDtracker's...) offhand at the BRC, and it wasnt bad at all. i cant imagine the carbine being any worse than magnum shotgun loads...

Some of the posts I've read on biggerhammer say the carbine has about the same recoil, but the muzzle blast is a lot more noticeable.

I took the full force of that muzzle blast a couple times. At the BRC, there were two people that shot my Serbu offhand that needed help holding it up. I held up the barrel with my left hand, turned around and got hammered by the blast.

What about the accuracy of the 2? The Carbine has a 7" shorter barrel, it seems like it would make a big difference.
