What does everybody out there in ARFland use to sharpen with?  I have used a whetstone for years, and I'm not bad with it, but there are alot of options out there now.  Thinking about a home sharpening system, and something I can stick in my pocket for quick touch-ups in the field.  Any suggestions?

I did some research a few years ago and ended up with THIS.

I had a Kershwa Shun kitchen knife that had been abused with a fair amount of pitting and chips out of the blade. It took some time with the Edge Pro but it is now good as new. It was simple to understand and the video that came with it explaines everything in bone head terms so even I can do it with great results.

Which kit did you end up with?  Not really sure if I need 3000 grit polish tape, but I have this bad habit of overbuying "just in case".

I think I am like you and just in case was the way to go. It's been a long time but I think I got kit4. I DID have an issue with the kit shortly after getting it and the I got the owner of the company on the phone and he spent as much time as I needed to work out the situation. I was impressed.

Spyderco Sharpmaker did the trick for me.
