So, I'm done finishing my man cave and it's time to start on the workshop/reloading bench. The area is in my basement. 13' wide by 25' deep. It will have a garage door to the backyard and a door into the bar/man cave. The bench will be at the back of the shop with the foundation (dry) on 2 sides. I'm thinking of an upside down U shape to use the full width of the shop (13'). I will likely have cabinets over the bench at the back wall and no cabinets over the left and right side benches (that's where the presses and such will go). I will also be using a free standing bench 3'x4' centered in the U as a cleaning and maint bench. It's a sturdy maple shop table from a vo-tech school. I've pulled 100A of power off the main box (300A) into the shop. I also have a 220 line in the shop.
I guess the basic shape of my bench is decided but I'm wondering how other reloaders and handymen have set up the actual bench. I'm wondering if I should allow for any shelves below the bench or leave it open. I was thinking at least the two side benches (the area with no cabinets over top) I would leave open for larger equipment storage like shop vacs, welder, generator, my substantial quantity of ammo cans, etc. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, let's se what you have. I'm not very creative so any help will be much appreciated.

No problem. The search function doesn't work well unless you are a team member. Not a put down, just the way the site is set up. One thing anybody can do is go to the last 4-5 pages of the forum. There you will find threads that have been "toggled". The green icon with an arrow. The toggle keeps the great threads out of the archives, ready to be posted in again if you want. Or you can just read them. Today I toggled the RCBS 2000 case feeder thread. Don't want to lose this thread.
