Delivery Status: July 18, 2006

Dear Valued Customers:

Since our last website update in February, Ares Defense has made great strides in expanding our production efforts and we have also expanded our Quality Control facilities. This includes a new, state-of-the-art indoor test-firing laboratory equipped with a high volume ventilation system and video recording cameras. The live fire cell provides for computer controlled data acquisition and monitoring of weapon systems, without regard to outside weather influences and other factors. For the past four years, Ares Defense has had to commute to a public range some 20 miles from the production facility in order to test its products. This has been detrimental to our production and testing efforts, as the public range is remote, without electrical power, and sometimes difficult to reach in the winter months when laden with weapons, test equipment and ammunition.

Our indoor live fire laboratory was indispensable during the recent preparation and delivery of a Shrike 5.56™ batch shipment to a friendly foreign government. As an American company, Ares Defense is proud to support America’s allies with its products. The fact that a US partner in the Global War On Terrorism has elected to provide its military personnel with the Shrike 5.56™, underscores what Ares Defense and its customers have known all along; the Shrike 5.56™ defines new ground in the world of Light Machine Guns (LMG’s) and it’s performance, ergonomics and light weight envelope offer significant advantages in real-world combat scenarios.

A fifth US patent was recently awarded for the Shrike 5.56™ and others are still pending.

Ares Defense continues its production ramp-up and is increasing its parts inventory to support the Shrike 5.56™ units in operation and those to soon be delivered. Our business policy provides for Shrike 5.56™ deliveries in the order in which they are received. A batch of 30-day invoices should mail out by month end, signifying imminent deliveries. We are striving to ship several hundred units by year-end and we are pursuing a phased approach whereby we hope to increase the lot sizes sequentially.

When you receive your Shrike 5.56™, please read and understand the Operator’s Manual before attempting to install or use the device. The team that knows this product best carefully prepared it, and it will save you much aggravation and provide you with a better understanding of your Shrike 5.56 - Advanced Weapons System™. We welcome customer feedback and consider it crucial to our ongoing commitment to provide you with the best products possible. This feedback should be provided to us directly, as we do not read or engage in Internet forums.

With regard to spare parts, many are now in stock and Shrike 5.56™ customers can order spare barrels, belt-box adaptors, bolts, etc. Some parts that are in shorter supply will be reserved for the completion of full upper receiver assemblies, which will in turn be shipped to waiting customers. Please contact us directly for pricing and availability.

We would like to remind everyone about the Technical Bulletins listed on the FAQ page of www.aresdefense.com. They are in printable PDF format for your convenience and serve to address technical questions or specifics that we consider important to our products.

In concluding this update, Ares Defense is always searching for qualified, team-oriented personnel to add to our company roster. This includes Machinists, Armorers, Assemblers, Customer Service Representatives, Mechanical Engineers and Contracting Specialists. If you or someone that you know is interested in a long term career with a leading developer of small arms products, then please send your resume to Ares Defense Systems, Inc., at one of the addresses listed on the Corporate page of www.aresdefense.com.

Thank you for your continued support. Please visit our website often for the latest technical bulletins, employment and business opportunities with Ares Defense.

I got mine in January.  It's got the 40 megawatt phased plasma interferometer, it'll knock vienna sausage cans off of a 2X4 at 10-15 yards, easy.

Unless Ares can survive on gov't contracts, it won't make it in the private sector, IMO.  I wouldn't presonally send a red cent their way.  The industry is full of half-ass, rotating-name-of-the-week operations putting out $5.00-worth of effort for every $10.00 they get.

I'll just keep my 10 bucks.

They can test all the units that they are "not" delivering year round......

We'll never see pictures of these in action......
