I am thinking about placing an order with Ares Defense for a Shrike.  I have heard there is a bit of a wait from the time of the order until delivery.  For any of you who have received yours, how long did you have to wait?  Also if you haven't received your order yet, how long have you been waiting?  I don't think it will effect my decision to purchase one, I'm just curious what to expect.

Oh and I'm a bit new here, so if this is the wrong spot to post this thread, just let me know I'll move.

ARES website today:

"Please note that Ares Defense is not currently accepting new orders for the Shrike 5.56â„¢ while it eliminates its production backlog. This does not impact current customers who have a deposit on file for the product, but we will not accept new orders for the Shrike 5.56â„¢ until further notice."

SOL for now.

Yeah, my unofficial guess is that they are realizing how cost-ineffective it is to actually sell these for the pre-order price and are stockpiling for higher-volume/ higher-price sales.  The pre-order contract was so written in their favor that they can and are making people wait long enough to quit through refund requests.  By paying you your $1000 refund, they're actually buying their profit back, making $2000-$3000 more by selling it to someone else for twice your pre-order price.

When they get enough refund requests, you'll then see a completely coincidental en masse delivery.
