I am going crazy!  I just placed an order for some bullets from natchezss and I swear I was mislead.  I saw what was 22 caliber (.224) bullets, added them to the cart, and purchased them.  I received an email confirmation with it saying 22 caliber/.224 (SI1345).  I happened to go back to the sight to see what else was instock and I didn't see what I just bought...only
Sierra .243 Caliber (.224) High Velocity 55 gr. Blitz.  I entered the SI1345 into the search and it came up as the .243 bullets!  What just happened?

0.224" is the diameter of almost all .22 Center Fire rounds, to include the .223 Remington.

What does your load manual say?  The pages with data will specify the appropriate bullet diameter for every cartridge.

I saw them and think they did not look to close at the diamiater and went with listing them by bullet weight.I think it is their fault too.

Calm down. It appears to be a typo on their website because they have the same issue with SI1502. This is a 0.243" 55gr BlitzKing bullet, but in the item descrption they say is is a .22 Cal/ (.243/6mm Dia.).

This happens when people do not proof read.

I hope you aren't depending on just that. A good manual will save you a lot of headaches, and maybe some fingers and eyes.

That is what I wanted to hear

That pdf was just something I came across when I was trying to find out what the SI1345 was exactly...that just referenced the #1345 as being a 22 cal(well at least being used in the ar15).

Thanks!

I know, I have both the file and the book. The file only lists the data for .223 AR loads. The "manual" part is not included in that download. It's the scary part about cherry picking data off of the internet, theres a lot of context and knowledge missing from tables and posts.

Just a typo. The #1345 is a .224" bullet or 22 caliber if you will.

Now here is something you do need to know. That bullet may go "poof" in the air if you shoot them from a 1 in 7 twist gun.

They do in mine.
