| Does anyone have any experiences or reviews of this rifle. Good or bad? Function? Reliability? |
| I got mine about a week ago. I should get to the range in the next few days to test it out and sight it in. I'll post up a review when done. On first impressions its not bad. Fit and finish a good and pretty easy to take apart. I took some pics on first tear down but away from the house for a week. I'll add those when I can also. So, first impression is pretty good |

Holy Crap!
I did it! I just bought a Sig 516 I had been looking at for the past week. Just took it apart to clean, lub and fondle. WOW! This gun is really well donw. The reciever is beefed up and the action is very smooth. Of cource its raining right now so I'l have to go to the range later this afternoon. I really like this rifle. |
| Got out to the range this morning, overcast and about 20*. I put about 500rnds of mixed ammo through the gun (Wolf, Tula, PMC and America Eagle). I did not have a single malfunction of any kind. I was using some older Brownells mags with Magpul ranger floor plates. All seated properly even when loaded with 30rnds. The rifle ejected ammo back to the 5o'clock position about 6-8ft away. Accuracy was pretty good, using the red dot sight that came with the gun. Not bad and I am very happy with the purchase. |

Awesome, get us a range report as soon as possible. Despite what the haters will say, Sig really knows how to design great firearms. |

It makes me wonder if the QC workers are part of a union...

I got out to the range this afternoon to fire the new Sig 516. Fired 120 rounds of Win Q3131, OMC Gold and XM192 along with some SS109.
Fantastic rifle!!! Not one single problem at all. Ate everything using both P MAgs abd regular GI 20 & 30 round mags. Accuracy was superb. Next I'm going to replace the trigger group with a match trigger or have Bill work this one over. Its my new favorite gun for now. |

I'm just curious, my 556 swat w quad rail and the full length gas system was about $1100 new, but I paid less since I bought it from a friend (who had never fired it, so it was still NIB). I love that the 516 gives the shooter the ability to disable the gas system to improve accuracy and make the rifle function more like a bolt gun. |
