Having some trouble zeroing my Sig 556, maybe you guys can help....I have a Samson folding FS and GG&G BUIS. When attempting to zero the iron sights, I could get the elevation good to go, but not the windage. The groups where about an inch left of the target and the BUIS was practically cranked all the way over to the right. What gives? Do I not have the FS adjusted properly in the dove tail*IE not centered* or what?
Any suggestions would be appreciated....

I've read some of the SIG left the factory with canted rails which sounds like the problem you are having

My only thought is to put some sort of optic on the rail and see if you can zero that. If it zeros nicely then perhaps your theory about the Sampson not being centered is correct. Even if it is centered, there is no shame in pushing it a little to left to get a proper zero. Looks take a back seat to function as a certain 556 owner I know of once so properly stated.

I did, and the rail appears to be level...My Aimpoint is zeroed just fine, just having troubles with my BUIS. I was thinking my FS might not be dead center in the dove tail, but it sure looks like it is....I had the same problem with my Armalite AR15A2NM as thier non-standard FSB attachment method causes it to constantly rollover. Before I noticed this was going on, the windage knob was maxed to the right...just like it is on my GG&G BUIS mounted on my Sig.

If my Samson is perfectly centered, what else could it be? I checked, but does it sound like my rail is canted?
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have any other rear BUIS to try? If the rail is level and the front sight is centered then I have to wonder if there is a problem with the rear BUIS. Worst comes to worse, just push the Sampson a little to the left.
