Sig Diopter Rear & Hooded Front Sight
Quick question about the Sig replacement sights...does the front fit on a 1913 rail as well? They specifically mention that the rear does. Or, does anyone know the same answer about the Aurora sights? Thanks much! |

No, both the Sig and Aurora front sights are dovetail mount. I'm assuming the sights are shorter than standard AR sights. Is there a 1913 compatible front sight out there that would work with the Sig or Aurora rear? The front is a dovetail, no picatinny rail sight will work on front. good question reversed however- do any manufactured rear sights have the proper height to work with a SIG/Aurora front sight? |

This solved all my problems-
Midwest Industries folding front sight It works with any AR BUIS/ carry handle you may have laying around. If you don't have any, consider this the half-price option. |

Reason for this inquiry is I'm going to be using a low mount scope on a shotgun build and want to use similarly low back up sights. Sig sights fit my criteria. Any ideas how to make this work? If the Sig sights end up not working out, Troy makes low profile front and rear folders for a standard rail. I've run several of the standard height Troy folders for years on various ARs and have always had excellent luck with them. They are simple, very well executed, and bomb-proof. Just thinking out loud-good luck with your project Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
