Very limited space available, but need to get something... I prefer to keep it in the master closet, but due to the layout, I am limited to 60"(H) x 26"(W) x 25"(D). The other option which was promising for more space was in the 2 car garage. We have a wall of built-in cabinets that I could easily remove the shelves and re-arrange to install the RSC. This would allow me to go 72"(H) x 48"(W) x 23"(D). As you can see, the depth is fairly shallow and I am having a hard time finding something that will accommodate it. I have checked all the typical AMSEC, Liberty, Fort Knox, Sturdy (non-custom), etc... but have not been able to find anything thus far... I was hoping to keep the price under $2K. The primary necessity is safety (kids) vs theft and/or fire. Thoughts or Recommendations? |

If your primary concern is kids and safety, consider Sams Club or Costco. You can get a kid proof safe with fire protection for about $600.00. It will also keep out the casual burglar that comes ill prepared to bust a safe open. Of course, If you're willing to spend the 2K, you'll get more.. You get what you pay for (most of the time) Just my opinion. |

Recommendations based on the size restrictions? The master closet width of 27" takes me out of all the 30" wide models. 30" seems to be the standard size for anything with flex or convertible interiors which is what I am really needing.
Also, the garage cabinet depth of 23" puts me in the same position as the standard seems to start around 25". |

The AMSEC BF6032 measures 21" deep, FWIW. A little over the $2k budget (showing at $2300 plus options at safeandvaultstore.com), but something to consider. This. But if not the BF in that size then look at the SF model in the same 6032 configuration. And it has a 1/4 plate steel door and not some bullshit built up refrigerator door. |

Not sure how I missed this. I was only seeing the 6030s for some reason. Glad I asked!!! |
