I'm still new at this, so bear with me in case this has been done to death before, please...I didn't find anything that seemed to relate to it, though.
What's a good way to keep a leather sling, M1907 replica, nice and pliable? Not looking to preserve it forever, but to keep it from drying out and cracking, keep it useable.
Any advice at all would be most appreciated.

Turner makes a leather dressing for slings that's applied very sparingly.  Neatsfoot oil works too (again, a little goes a long way).

Another good one is Lexol.
Shake the can REAL GOOD (it settles).

Apply a thick coat and allow to stand until it's all absorbed.
Wipe off and let dry overnight.

Be wary of neatsfoot oil.
First, it's not all that great for slings since they tend to stretch after being treated.
Second, most neatsfoot oil is really FISH OIL with just enough neatsfoot oil added to be able to label the can neatsfoot COMPOUND.

If you want to try it, make sure you get pure neatsfoot oil, not "compound".

Thanks for the pointers, I'll start trying them out
