| I love the Magpul MS Slings and wondering if there are any adapters to make it fit the Mini-14s 1" sling attachments? The Magpul is a 1.25. Are there any more decent slings out there that will fit it? I had a Specter before and really didn't care to have the sling wrapped around the stock and barrel. |

Rather than a adapter, if you want a 1¼" sling then swap out the 1" on the buttstock and take off the 1" one on the gas block, drill out the indents, and insert a removable 1¼" swivel in the front. Problem solved. Do you mean something like these? swivel |

These instructions helped me a lot for someone who might be in the same situation.

In not sure of the model or if this is actually the sling mount I'm thinking of. I'm sure some here will know. Where can one find the sling mount that is on the side of the gas block like this one. http://www.perfectunion.com/vb/attachments/ruger-mini-14-mini-30/23438d1358294764-diy-ak-style-sling-mount-mini-14-img_0220.jpg You will only find those attached to a Mini-14 with factory folding stocks and you will probably have to buy the whole gun. OR maybe Ruger has some that they would sell. A person with reasonable resources could have someone weld a sling mount to the side of the gas block in a similar fashion and install the sling loop. Specter gear makes a side mounted sling with adapter...

Something like this could easily be attached to the stock:
