I have a SA socom that I am trying to install a brownells /turner AWS tactical plus sling on.  The problem I'm running in to is how do you thread the frog through the rear sling mount?  It is way too small to fit a frog through.  I am lost here.

Any help would be good.

It won't go straight through.  Hook the tip in the sling loop and pivot it through.

A bit confused. So feed it in sideways?

I got it in now.  Boy do I feel dumb.

Now I just have to find the right adjustment for it.

I've had problems with the leather match slings and had to unscrew the bottom screw and drop the rear sling loop.  I forget if that was on my Garand or M1A.  But it was like the angle didn't allow the metal part of the sling enough room to go through.  Just and FYI.

Glad you got it figured out.

Good.

Don't forget to note the proper adjustment for each position since they will be different.  However don't make marks on the sling at home. Shoot a string in each position with all of your equipment on with those adjustments to verify them.

And even then I just write them down in a notebook in case they change for whatever reason.
